These beautiful strawberry polkadot nails are yummy! They're ideal for wearing in this summer weather (well, when it arrives!). I love the way how the ring finger is a fuller strawberry too, designing the ring finger slightly different seems to be a trend lately.

Such a dainty girly design, with miniature flowers and rhinestone crystals. I really love the pastel colours used in this look :) I can't help wondering how they managed to create such small yet detailed flowers..

I'm considering altering this feature to show my own nailart, to encourage myself to get creative :)

Easter Break + Matalan Finds

Happy Easter! Slightly belated.. I know..

But I'm munching into my honeypot shaped egg that Ady found in the clearance section of Morrisons, Easter on the cheap, win!

I hope everyone enjoyed the lovely sunshine and generally had some fun. We got alot of silly chores done, things that needed cleaning, things that needed organising and tidying, etc. We also had naughty ice creams, went to a funfair that consisted of three rides, and ran across the Asda carpark in stormy rain. It was an awesome storm, but our flat was like an oven, and our Velux windows would let rain in, so we sat and roasted while watching The Million Pound Drop on tv.

Today we ran some errands, and I popped into Matalan while we were out. I'd read great things about their latest collections, and I was very impressed when I looked around.

Sitting proudly against some rather plain dresses was a floral dress, thee floral dress, absolutely beautiful print, perfect shape. I tried it on, and I fell in love, until I saw that it was falling apart and someone had taken scissors to the belt. Then I was far from impressed, grr.

However, I did find the dress online, and hopefully, in a few days, this little beauty will be mine :)

It's £14.00, which I think is pretty good. I found that the length was really good, and the detailing around the top was flattering for me. I teamed it with a turquoise blue cardigan in the changing room and thought it was a love match :)

I also loved this dress online, I saw the jumpsuit version in store and loved the print, so I got excited when I found it in dress form online, buuut alas, £25.00 is alot for a dress when I have far too many already.. ;)

Not sure if it would look too poofy on me, but it's very pretty.

I'll definitely be checking out Matalan on a regular basis, rather than once in a blue moon.

Shopping Finds

I'm getting really lazy on the blogging front, I do apologise..

I'm also taking what seems like a small break from making jewellery, and infact, I've been thinking about the possibilities of branching out into other fields of handmade goodness. It's just ideas I'm toying with for now.

I thought I'd come and show my new purchases lately. I'm on a general shopping ban, but I have sold alot recently, so I've treated myself to a few bits.

Aside some basics, here's what I've bought the past week.

Adorable bird necklace (I think it was £1.50) from Primark

Sparkly bow necklace (£1.00 in the sale) also from Primark

I really don't need anymore jewellery, seriously. But I fell in love with this little bird, it makes the perfect little pendant and I can wear it in work too. The red was an initial put off on the bow pendant, but actually I reckon it would look awesome with a striped nautical style top I've got :) well, I'm hoping so. But for £1, I couldn't leave it behind ;)

Bird nest earrings (£5.00, half price) from Topshop

The boyfriend insists I'll never wear these, because they're quite long and dangly, but they're so cute! I tried one on and found it surprisingly comfortable, so I reckon I will wear these at some point soon.

Heart keyring (£6.00) from Accessorize

Sterling Silver lilac super sparkly studs (£5.40) from Accessorize

There's no way this beautiful creamy enamel heart will survive on my keys, so I'm going to use it as a bag charm. The studs are just so gorgeous, the colour is so pretty, and I don't tend to have many real silver studs anymore, I find they're really handy as there's no issue of tarnishing.

Rimmel Moisture Renew Lipstick in Latino (I paid around £4.00 for it in Superdrug, yay for sales!)

Rimmel 60 Seconds Polish in Sky High (around £3-4, also from Superdrug)

I've been wanting to try one of the Rimmel 'Moisture Renew' lipsticks for ages, but I'm not necessarily big on lipsticks, so I couldn't justify spending £6 or so on one. But when I popped into Superdrug they were around £2 off, so I picked up this gorgeous pinky colour. And this is the first lipstick I've owned in years :P The nailpolish is a pretty deep blue/green shade, I've been looking for a shade like that for some time.

Floral cotton skirt (£5.00) from Primark

This skirt is so cute! I saw it and instantly fell in love. It has button detail down the front too. I wore it out the other day with a plain blue t-shirt, matching the blue floral bits, and my long owl necklace. It's currently in stores as far as I can see, and for £5 it's a real bargain.

Forever21 Necklaces

As mentioned in my previous blog post, here's a wonderful collection of necklaces from Forever21.

I've never really shopped here before, but I'm so glad I've found them now ;) I'm a bit of a necklace hoarder, especially long ones with pendants. I find they're so easy to wear with most of my clothes (generally dresses, leggings, mini skirts and tops).

Here are some of my absolute faves.

Aside being an absolute bargain (I think it's in its final sale), this would be perfect with a variety of outfits.

This would look so cute with anything, really. I love the fact that the rose picture is quite neutral, alot of my floral necklaces are quite bright.

I love the general style of this necklace, the rhinestoned bow is adorable, but I'm not entirely sold on the rose picture inside, however, it is still gorgeous :)

I'm considering bringing a collection of long pendant necklaces to Sparklerose Designs as I really do love them. I've had a few different ideas, so we'll see ;)
